Group Classes

How Do Group Lessons Work?

Group classes are an affordable way to get started on the basics with your dog.  For puppy parents, this is a great opportunity to expose your dog to other dogs and other people during a critical period in their development.  Adult dogs will benefit from learning in a different environment, as they learn to generalize their new skills and work around distraction. Play classes offer your dog a safe, supervised environment to hone their social skills and engage in some fun!  Your dog will go home tired and will hopefully have met some new friends!

A Walk in the Park

  • $25/household

1.5 hour session (various weekday evenings & weekend mornings throughout the year)
Various locations throughout Calgary and surrounding area

$25/household (multiple dogs and people from the same household welcome)

Limited to 10 households/walk
*1 spot open for trainer walk @ $60/session (pick up & drop off extra)

Are you interested in meeting up with other dog parents and exploring new and exciting places with your dog? This might be the class for you! We will meet up at different locations and embark on a trainer-led, on-leash walk. We will discuss different topics, such as, but not limited to: safety, etiquette, loose leash walking, focus and handy cues. You and your dog will not only get a great walk but learn some new skills and bond along the way! Group walks will help your dog learn to focus in a distracting environment, and make great friends in controlled meetings without the chaos of a dog park. There will be something different at each session, so feel free to join as many as you’d like!

Walks will generally be flat and easy and for all fitness levels.  Walks that incorporate some hills/elevation will be noted.

Classes are subject to cancellation due to weather or air quality conditions. Registrations will be transferred to future sessions or refunded if they cannot be completed.

While minor reactivity issues can be addressed on this walk, complex cases cannot.  Please make note on the registration form of any reactivity issues your dog has.

*If you have a dog that you think would benefit from this class, but aren’t physically able to do a 1.5 – 2 hour walk, I am offering to take a your dog with me as I lead this class. This will include a debriefing of behavior at drop-off. Owners must contact me prior to the class for a meet & greet before registering.
